Production Supervisor
Summary: Basic Purpose
Oversees function of production department. Supervises the activities of the production lines, maintaining production in accordance with predetermined standards. Coordinates componentry with line activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Direct the work of all regular employees and seasonal employees.
• Accountability for hiring, firing and performance evaluations for all personnel reporting directly to Supervisor.
• Assigns personnel to support planning departments schedule, coordinates with receiving department componentry to maintain efficiency of production line.
• Communicates with line leads and line mechanics to provide environment to achieve production maximum output indicated by company standards.
• Communicate with material handler to deliver bulk material, components and to arrange finish goods on pallet according to appropriate procedures.
• Transfer finish goods to Distribution Center utilizing transfer form procedures.
• Utilize production department’s machinery to maximize manufacturing capabilities.
• Track production performance and other Key Performance Metrics.
• Participate in the development and the execution of the production Budget.
• Ensure compliance with all FDA, OSHA and local regulatory agencies requirements.
• Oversees the maintenance of clean work areas, yard and floors.
• Trains and instructs Production employees on job performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversees documentation for production.
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
• Associate Degree or 5+ years equivilant experience
• At least five years experience in production/assembly function
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods Distribution environment preferred.
• Two years of Continuous Improvement, Total Quality or Team Based Management experience or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP in pharmaceutical or cosmetic products.
• Knowledge of production equipment function
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Willingness to actively participate in leadership management training and support activities.
• Self starter with ability to work independently, meet deadlines, multi-task with a positive, can-do attitude.
• An outgoing, solution-oriented, people-centered management style.
• Ability to problem solve and make timely decisions.
• Computer Skills (MAS200, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Email).
• At least three years of supervision experience
