Director of I.T. Infrastructure
Summary:
BASIC PURPOSE:
The Director IT Infrastructure is responsible for the technical infrastructure necessary to support all business processes and applications systems, as well as providing leadership, project planning, and architectural direction that ensures the infrastructure and supporting systems are reliable and scalable.
Location: Colorado (Boulder)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manage the day-to-day activities of the IT Infrastructure Team (staff of 8 to 12+ professionals).
•Responsible for project planning.
•Provide direct oversight of the data center assuring highly available services.
•Manage enterprise infrastructure including voice and data networks across the WAN, as well as wireless.
•Manage vendor relationships for all Infrastructure components and ensure high availability with strict adherence to SLAs.
•Develop and implement plans to proactively manage infrastructure including developing standardization plans, management plans, and technology refresh plans.
•Conduct annual performance evaluations of IT Infrastructure Team. Hold weekly review meetings with direct reports.
•Manage fiscal budget.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision of the following positions:
Network and Security Manager
Web Team (2)
Data Warehouse Architect
Systems Administrators (2)
QUALIFICATIONS:
•BS Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
•10+ years hands-on IT Infrastructure and Data Center infrastructure
•Data and Telecom proficiency.
•Experienced manager with full personnel responsibilities.
•Data Center management.
•LAN / WAN configuration and infrastructure best practices.
