Associate Brand Manager/Trainer-Spectrum
Summary:
Basic Purpose
Work closely with Brand Manager and Senior Director of Marketing for product and brand education and training, project coordination, implementation of overall vision and strategy for the Spectrum Brand, which encompasses Spectrum Cooking products and Spectrum Supplements, totaling approximately $52 million in sales.
This position can be located either in Petaluma, CA or Melville, NY
Location: California (Petaluma)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Assists in educating retailers, brokers and sales team on the brand and all its product attributes, which includes creating new weekly presentations and conducting web-x (on-line) training seminars.
•Helps in preparing educational literature for in-store use.
•Forms, schedules and leads project teams, focusing on product development.
•Monitors competitors and market for industry trends and new introductions.
•Initiates, monitors, releases, and enforces time lines and schedules.
•Works with production, purchasing and project coordinators to confirm vendors, specifications and deadlines.
•Develops presentations and sales materials for sales teams, Sr. Management and Analysts.
•Work with promotional agencies in executing key consumer initiatives across all brands including brainstorming concepts, creating sell sheets, and point of purchase materials such as consumer brochures and on-shelf consumer training materials.
•Maintain and update branded website with product information, news-worthy studies, recipes and promotions.
•Monitors market performance and customer feedback in cooperation with Customer Service.
•Identifies areas of improvement and puts process improvements into place.
•Standard office administrative duties; copying, faxing, filing, presentations to sales/accounts etc.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, MBA a plus.
•Two to four year’s minimum product development and/or brand/project management experience.
•Ability to successfully manage and execute results for multiple projects in a fast pace, changing environment.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
•Creative finesse in developing ads, websites and collateral materials.
•Strong problem solving, analytical skills and creative concept skills.
•Proficient knowledge of computers, spreadsheet, word processing and project management software programs.
