Maintenance Mechanic, Sunrise Shift
Summary:
HOURS/SHIFT: Sunrise Shift, 10:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Overtime as necessary.

PURPOSE:
The basic purpose of the maintenance mechanic is to troubleshoot, repair and perform predictive and preventative maintenance of packaging, milling and blending equipment. Secondary duties include, but are not restricted to, upgrading and installation of new equipment, electrical, welding, machining, mechanical, etc., while maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.
Location: Colorado (Boulder)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make repairs in expeditious manner.
2. Perform weekly preventative maintenance functions.
3. Perform yearly rebuilds on assigned equipment.
4. Participate and assist in the installation of new machinery.
5. Inspect machines for parts wear and recommend/participate in making necessary repairs.
6. Ensure that all paperwork including daily end of shift reports, inventory, safety sheets (ex: hot work permits, confined space) and supply requisitions are accurate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum of five years electrical/mechanical maintenance experience preferably in a packaging manufacturing environment.
3. Experience troubleshooting and installing high speed industrial machinery.
4. Project management – ability to see job through to completion with attention to detail in a timely manner.
5. Ability to work within a team concept. Flexibility is an asset.
6. Strong background in electronics and PLC controlled processes.
7. Strong machining and welding skills are desirable.
8. Strong safety record.
9. Good attendance and dependability a must.
10. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs.
11. Must have computer skills to look up part location/availability on computer using maintenance software.
12. Ability to communicate with other mechanics and be able to explain mechanical processes and theory.
13. Ability to meet attendance guidelines.
14. Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
