Sales Representative - Colorado

Summary:

Basic Purpose
The Sales Representative (SR) is responsible for calling on the natural and organic retail stores in a geographic territory.  The SR executes Hain Celestial brand objectives in-store by striving to develop and improve (1) core item distribution (2) new item distribution (3) sell promotions (4) merchandise displays and (5) reset shelf sections and implement plan-o-grams.  Additionally, the SR develops strong and purposeful relationships with retail management through outstanding merchandising execution and exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Core responsibilities include: (1) gaining distribution on all core and new items, (2) selling promotions, (3) merchandise displays for both full revenue and promoted items, (4) participate in retailer resets.
•Maintains regular contact with all assigned customers through scheduled store visits, sales calls and market checks.
•Represents The Hain Celestial Group at all scheduled reset events, new store setups and other assigned merchandising and sales functions.
•Secures distribution of all authorized Hain Celestial products with both permanent on-shelf positions and off-shelf displays.
•Prepares sales contracts/orders for both non-promoted and promoted merchandise for the retail customer.
•Maintains on-shelf merchandising standards in accordance with company merchandising schematics at all assigned accounts.
•Maintains detailed files for each assigned customer, both manual and electronic files
•Conducts placement audits via company provided electronic equipment.
•Maintains excellent working relationships with each assigned customer, ensuring unsurpassed levels of customer service.
•Prior retail merchandising experience required.
•Tracks new item placements, core item distribution and conduct store audits for pricing discrepancies.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
•High School Diploma with some college.
•2 to 3 years previous sales experience, preferably in the food/consumer products industry.
•Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
•Must have computer experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
•Clean driving record with valid driver’s license and liability insurance.
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•Able to perform job functions that require lifting, bending and kneeling for up to an 8 hour shift.
•Some overnight travel and early morning or overnight work required.
